How to Care for and Store a Wheat Pack

Wheat and moisture don't mix. Good care keeps your pack comfortable, even-heating and safe for longer.

Cleaning

  • Spot clean only with a lightly damp cloth.
  • Do not immerse, soak or machine wash.
  • Store in a cool, dry place.

Storage

Keep your pack in a cool, dry cupboard. The sealed poly bag it arrived in is useful for keeping dust out between uses — make sure the pack is fully cool and dry before bagging it.

Replace your wheat pack if

  • It has a burnt or popcorn smell
  • The fabric is scorched or discoloured from heat
  • Seams or fabric are damaged or worn
  • Wheat is escaping
  • It has become wet inside
  • There are signs of mould or sprouting
  • It heats unevenly
